So many of us horse-people live in small towns or rural areas with limited access to equine professionals or qualified instruction.

Historically, many equestrians have had to wait for the once-a-year opportunity to ride in a clinic when an instructor they like comes to town, or had to compromise their ethics and work with whoever was nearby to get help with their horse when they needed it...

Now, you can invest in learning from the instructors you trust and really WANT to work with, and get quality coaching and real lessons, from anywhere in the world!

Here's the technology you need to make it EASY:

ZOOM is the easiest way to conduct our lessons

1. Download the Zoom app to your phone.

2. Make your lesson booking (at the top of this page).

3. Your booking automatically gives you a zoom meeting room to log into with Alissa (you'll get it in an email).

4. Have a friend hold your phone for you during your lesson.

5. OR - if you intend to work in a smaller space or doing EHS, put your phone on a tripod, or prop it up on a corner of a stable or fence railing, and Alissa will be able to teach you.

PIVO is an amazing motion-tracking device!

After you book your lesson or session (do it at the top of this page):

1. Purchase a PIVO POD of Silver or better. (Google PIVO POD for your local webshop)

2. Download the PIVO+ (PIVO PLUS) app onto your phone

3. Turn on your PIVO and open your PIVO+ app

4. Tap "SYNC" on your app

5. Select PIVO MEET, in the app

6. Email your PIVO MEETING to support@alissamayer.com

7. Alissa will log in at your lesson start time!

BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES

For both Zoom and Pivo options you will need bluetooth headphones that connect to your phone. I love the BONE-CONDUCTION style, because they stay on and leave your ears open so you can remain more connected to your environment during our sessions - which is safer and more grounding.

Several options can be purchased for a relatively low cost, that offer excellent sound and allow you to move around most riding arena's with good clear reception. Ensure they are well connected to your phone!

WIFI & INTERNET Connection

For our lessons online to run smoothly we need good internet. A data roaming signal of 4G or better, with an MBPS (Megabites per second) bandwidth of minimum 10MBPS. The more the better!

Use this website https://www.speedtest.net/ to check that the connection in your desired lesson location is strong enough. Alissa has a consistent 4G / 5G connection of between 200-400 MBPS, so you can be confident that unless there is a power outage (happens occasionally in the winter) Alissa can deliver high quality and uninterrupted reception with these services.
